This privacy policy explains how Verdaelle, the publisher of verdaelle.com, handles information when you read our articles, use our website, or contact us. For privacy questions and requests, use our contact page and include “Privacy request” in your message.
Information you choose to provide
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. We use that information to answer your inquiry, follow up on an article correction or accessibility issue, and manage our correspondence. You do not need to send a message to read our articles. Please provide only the details needed for your inquiry.
Verdaelle publishes general wellness information and does not provide medical care or a patient portal. Do not submit medical records, detailed health histories, passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal information through the form. Our medical disclaimer explains the limits of our content.
Technical information and website operation
When a browser requests a page, our website and hosting infrastructure may process the visitor’s IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, referring page, and request time. This information supports page delivery, troubleshooting, performance, security, and abuse prevention. Server and security records may contain some of these details.
We use WordPress to publish the site and LiteSpeed Cache to support performance. Authorized administrators use account credentials and authentication cookies to manage the website. Reading public articles does not require creating an account.
Cookies and your privacy choices
Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser. Necessary cookies can support sign-in, security, and remembering privacy preferences. The CookieAdmin interface provides cookie categories and preference controls. Use the cookie preference control on the website to review or change available choices.
You can also manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in or other functions. Deleting cookies or switching browsers may require you to set your preferences again. The categories shown in a consent banner describe possible purposes; they do not by themselves mean every category is currently in use.
Contact forms, comments, and spam prevention
The contact form uses WPForms Lite. Messages are sent through the website’s email infrastructure to the site administrator. WPForms cloud entry backups are not enabled in the current configuration. Email copies can remain in the administrator’s mailbox and related email backups.
If a comment form is available and you choose to submit a comment, WordPress may collect the submitted comment, name, email address, IP address, and browser information. A displayed name and approved comment may become public; your email address is not intended to be displayed with the comment. Spam screening may process submissions through Akismet, an Automattic service. Its handling of visitor information is explained in Automattic’s visitor privacy notice.
Google services and advertising
Verdaelle includes Google AdSense code to connect this website with the publisher’s AdSense account for site verification and advertising setup. Installing this code does not by itself confirm Google’s approval or mean ads are being displayed. Google Site Kit is installed but is not connected to a Google account; Google Analytics has not been enabled through Site Kit.
Your browser may communicate with Google when the AdSense code loads, sharing technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the page being visited. When Google advertising is served, Google and participating advertising vendors may use cookies to select ads based on your visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to provide personalized advertising based on browsing activity.
You can manage or opt out of Google personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. For choices offered by other participating advertising companies, visit YourAdChoices. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and read Google’s privacy policy. You can also review available options using this website’s cookie preference control. Browser-level choices and advertising preferences may need to be set separately on each device or browser.
Service providers and external websites
Website hosting, email delivery, security, consent management, and backup services may process information needed to provide their functions. We may also disclose information when necessary to meet legal obligations or address fraud, abuse, or security incidents. We do not sell contact-form messages or use them as a mailing-list subscription.
Our articles link to independent sources and other websites. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. Embedded third-party content, when present, may communicate with its provider when loaded. Review the destination’s policy before sharing information there.
Retention, security, and your requests
Information is retained according to its purpose: correspondence may be needed to resolve an inquiry, while technical records and backups support security, recovery, and website operation. Retention can vary by the record, service provider, and applicable legal requirements. This policy does not promise a single deletion deadline for all systems. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are replaced or expire.
We use access controls and HTTPS to help protect information, but no website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or to raise an objection or complaint. Contact us through the contact page. We may need to verify your request before acting, and some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.
Children and policy updates
Verdaelle is intended for a general adult audience. The contact form is not intended to collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
We may update this privacy policy as our website or services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For information about our publishing process, see the editorial policy.
